Franck Ribéry walked the field of the Arechi stadium for the last time on Saturday 22 October 2022 at 14:34 wearing Salernitana jersey.  An emotional farewell moment, Franck Ribéry said thank you with tears, looking at his people and beating his hand on his heart, where there is the emblem of the seahorse.  The farewell was made before the Serie A Week 11 game Salernitana v Spezia.  The beautiful thing is that Salernitana won the game and said goodbye to Ribéry with these 3 precious points.

The musical notes of “Fall into your eyes” by Ultimo accompanied him in his last farewell, to follow the official photographer of the club Francesco Pecoraro. Franck was unable to hold back in front of the camera while the south curve and the grandstand chanted with choirs “Franck Ribéry, Franck Ribéry” and “Olé frero olé.”

Interestingly, Ribéry did not want his wife and children to be present because  he did not want them to see him sad.  Ribéry wanted to continue playing but his physique decided it was time to stop.  A banner saying, “You can not turn off some lights. Hello frero true champion! FR7 ”, the Siberiano banner. Ribéry has turned the spotlight of world football on Salerno, but will continue to keep them on now that he will wear the uniform of the coaching staff and will sit next to Davide Nicola.

Teammates cheered Ribéry including Fazio, Mazzocchi, Candreva and all the others, the management, the sports director De Sanctis, Giulio Migliaccio, the secretary Dibrogni, the team manager Avallone and the staff. Even the children, all around him, cheered him. The last shot with president Iervolino, in the background the south curve.  An unforgettable moment was Ribéry with the last hug to his agent Davide Lippi who was also with him for the presentation back in September 2021.
