Juventus secured a victory against Hellas Verona in the Serie A Week 27 match on Monday, March 3, 2025, at the Allianz Stadium in Turin, Italy. With this win, Juventus rises to fourth place in the league standings, now holding 51 points. They trail Atalanta, who sits in third with 55 points, by 4 points. ✅   What’s happening in Round 27?

The battle for the Scudetto is packed with excitement. Napoli and Inter clashed at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.  Following Atalanta’s draw with Venezia, the standings at the top remain unchanged. Inter stays in first place with 58 points, just one ahead of Napoli at 57 points, and three ahead of Atalanta, who has 55 points. For Inzaghi’s squad, this marks their third consecutive positive result, following wins against Genoa in the league and Lazio in the Italian Cup. On the other hand, Napoli is now on a fifth straight game without a victory, unable to surpass the Nerazzurri and still searching for a win that has eluded them for over a month.

Juventus climbs to fourth place in the standings thanks to the three points taken against Verona. Thuram scores first, assisted by Cambiaso, and Koopmeiners closes the match in the final minutes. It was not an easy match for the Bianconeri, with Verona defending very well and even freezing the Stadium at the end of the first half with a goal by Suslov, later disallowed for offside.

Atalanta and Venezia ended with a goalless draw at the Gewiss Stadium.  Atalanta has now accumulated 55 points.  Venezia remains in the 19th position with 18 points.

Fiorentina celebrates a much-needed victory after suffering three straight losses reaching 45 points. Meanwhile, Giampaolo’s squad remains stuck at 25 points, sitting in 16th place. Lecce is still struggling to find the back of the net.

Milan has stumbled again, suffering their third consecutive defeat in the league. This may signal the end of their hopes to reach the 4th position. In the dying moments of the match, their plans unravel, and Maignan brings down Isaksen in the penalty area. Following a review, Manganiello points to the spot. Pedro steps up to score, clinching three vital points for his side in the battle for Champions League qualification. It’s a tough break for Milan but well done to Lazio.

In an exciting match, Roma came from behind to defeat Como 2-1, marking their fourth consecutive victory. Da Cunha put Como ahead just before halftime in the 44th minute.The second half saw Saelemaekers level the score in the 61st minute. ⚪️🔵 Lazio struck first in the 28th minute when Mattia Zaccagni found the back of the net with a close-range left-footed shot. After Tchaouna set up Marusic, who challenged Maignan, the ball rebounded off the French keeper, allowing Zaccagni to capitalize and score with his left foot. Lazio takes the lead at San Siro!

In the 85th minute, AC Milan leveled the score at 1-1. Samuel Chukwueze found the back of the net with a powerful header into the top right corner, thanks to an assist from Rafael Leão. Leão delivered a gentle cross to the far post, and Chukwueze, unmarked by Nuno Tavares, expertly headed it home to equalize!

Lazio clinched the victory in the dying moments of the match, scoring in the 98th minute. Pedro sealed the win for Lazio by successfully converting a penalty with his right foot. The penalty was awarded after Mike Maignan committed a foul on Gustav Isaksen inside the box.

Milan are unbeaten in six of their last seven league matches against Lazio (W5 D1).  The Biancocelesti’s only win in that period dating back to 24 January 2023 (4-0 at the Olimpico).

After the 2-2 draw in the first leg on 31 August, Milan and Lazio could draw both of their Serie A matches this season for the first time since 2013/14.

Milan are unbeaten in 33 of their last 34 home matches against Lazio in Serie A (W22 D11).  Lazio’s only away win against the Rossoneri in that period dating back to 3 November 2019 (2-1 with goals from Immobile and Correa).

Roma has faced defeat in their last two Serie A matches against Como, losing 0-2 on both January 25, 2003, and December 15. This marks a record streak for the Lombardy team against the Capitoline side in the top flight. That is especially considering that Roma had previously enjoyed five straight victories over Como in this competition. Following the 0-2 loss in the first leg against Como, Roma is at risk of losing both matches in a season against a newly promoted team for the first time since the 1995/96 season against Atalanta.

Como have won only one away match against Roma in Serie A.  The first against the Giallorossi in the tournament (on April 23, 1950 by 1-0), since then in 11 matches at the Giallorossi’s home in the tournament, seven Capitoline victories (including all of the last three) and four draws.

Roma have won their last three league matches without conceding a goal.  The Giallorossi have not achieved four consecutive wins in Serie A since July-August 2020. The Capitoline team could record four consecutive clean sheets for the first time since May-August 2018. Como have won their last two league games (against Fiorentina and Napoli), the Lariani could record three consecutive wins in Serie A for the first time since May-June 1952 with Robert Winkler as coach.

After the away win against Fiorentina, Como could achieve two consecutive away wins for only the second time in their history in Serie A after the period between April-May 1950 (three with Mario Varglien at the helm). Roma are both the team that has earned the most points in Serie A in 2025 (20).  In addition, the only unbeaten team in the tournament in the new calendar year (6W, 2D).
