Chelsea has secured their spot in the round of 16 at the Club World Cup after a 3-0 win against Esperance de Tunis in their final Group D match on Tuesday, June 24, 2025.
Goals were scored by Tosin Adarabioyo, Liam Delap, and Tyrique George.
Flamengo, the group winner, drew 1-1 with Los Angeles FC, finishing with seven points, just one ahead of Chelsea. Esperance ended up in third place with three points, while LA FC finished last with one point, leading to the elimination of both Esperance and Los Angeles FC.
In the round of 16, Chelsea will face Group C winner Benfica on Saturday at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, while Flamengo will go up against Bayern Munich, the Group C runner-up, in Miami on Sunday.
