The pitch at Centro Vismara, where the boys trained from May to February, was the site of the game between the protagonists of the Project and the partners who have supported the youngsters over the past year and have given them the opportunity to find personal aims and the tools for achieving them. Guests were the employees of Decathlon of Rozzano, who had met the boys during an interview simulation, an important moment that allowed them to enter the world of work with greater confidence and preparation.
In recent months we have taken big steps ahead: Marco – and another 2 fellow adventurers - began a catering management course; Pedro, Gloria and another two boys will start training at a large clothing chain and other youngsters are waiting to have a second interview with 2 companies and important hotel chains.
Thanks to the support and collaboration of Fondazione Adecco, the youngsters (16- to 24-year-old boys and girls from the Gratosoglio district of Milan) prepared for their first job interviews. And they were so good that the first simulations have already turned into genuine job opportunities.
During the past few months the youngsters have undertaken training with Simone, the coach trained in the Milan method, the empowerment course with Catia, ActionAid expert, and professional coaching with Laura and the Fondazione Adecco team.
Writing and revising CVs, preparing for job interviews, looking for employment opportunities, learning the rules to be observed on the pitch and in life.
In other words, the start of a solid and successful path to growth.
