The Allievi B Nazionali are involved in the Torneo Mariani Pavone in Pineto, while Claudio Gabetta’s Giovanissimi Nazionali face Napoli in a crucial last 16 second leg encounter down south

With the Primavera and Allievi Nazionali’s seasons both at an end, attentions turn to the other two academy sides who are in action this weekend.

First up, the Allievi B Nazionali will attempt to rule victorious in the Torneo Mariani Pavone in Abruzzo.

Davide Cei’s charges, who began their cup exploits with a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Sampdoria on Wednesday evening, must claim wins in their next two games against Hajduk Split and Lanciano to stand a chance of playing in Saturday’s semi-final.

And finally, the Giovanissmi Nazionali will look to overturn last weekend’s 1-0 last 16 first-leg deficit to Napoli when the duo lock horns again down south this Sunday.

Despite a spirited performance from Claudio Gabetta’s young guns in Vinovo, the Partenopei took a big step towards the Final Eight courtesy of Andrea Mambella’s first-half effort.
