Spain win the UEFA Euro 2020 Round of 16 defeating in extra time Croatia on Monday 28 June 2021 at the Parken Stadium in Copenhagen, Denmark.  This was a thriller! Croatia finished second in Group D, while Spain finished unbeaten in second in Group E.  Spain will face either France or Switzerland in the quarter-finals on Friday, July 2 in St Petersburg.

Spain equalizing for the 1-1 in the 38th minute. It is Pablo Sarabia to defeat Croatia goalkeeper with a left footed shot.

Spain taking the lead in the 57th minute. It is César Azpilicueta to score for the 2-1 from very close range with a headed shot to the center. The assist is by Ferran Torres. This is Azpilicueta’s first ever international goal becoming Spain’s oldest ever goalscorer at the European Championships at 31 years old and 304 days.

Spain just gaining momentum while Croatia slowing down. In the 77th minute, Spain leading 3-1, Ferran Torres scoring with a left footed shot to the center. The assist is by Pau Torres.

Croatia shortening the distance in the 85th minute scoring for the 2-3. Mislav Orsic from very close range with a right footed shot to the center.
