Here are the declarations of Juventus forward Alvaro Morata after eliminating Real Madrid on May 13 with the aggregate result 2-3 and qualifying to the Champions League Final to be played on June 6 at the Olympiastadion in Berlin, Germany. Morata is a hero for Juventus because he scored the only goal of the match, but for Real Madrid fans is just a nightmare being himself an ex-Real Madrid player.

It’s a special game for Morata. A mixed feeling after seeing his goal eliminating his ex team Real Madrid. Special words after the game by Captain Gianluigi Buffon praising him as a star of the future.Morata commenting on Buffon’s words: “Gigi’s words are a great honour, he’s a legend to me. When we played against each other last year in the Champions League, I ran after him to get his shirt.”
Regarding the match, Morata adding: “I’m delighted and would like to thank the fans, who were here in their droves. We’ll do everything to lift the cup.”
Having decided the tie with a goal in either leg, Morata’s focus has now shifted to the final in Berlin: “It’ll be a tough match, but we can do it together.
“I grew up here in Madrid so I was never going to celebrate against Real. I heard the odd whistle when I left the field and that made me feel bad. I was just doing my job.”
