It’s a tough defeat, but Juventus Coach Masimiliano Allegri should keep his head high after taking Juventus to a Champions League Final.  Juventus were not in a Final since 2003 and waited 12 years to be in the big show.  Surely, it’s sad to lose, but I give a standing ovation to Allegri and players.

Final Champions League result: Juventus 1 – 3 Barcelona, Saturday 6 June 2015, Olympiastadion, Berlin, Germany

Here are the declarations by Coach Massimiliano Allegri after losing the Champions League Final against Barcelona:

“We played well from a technical and a tactical perspective, but we did struggle at times when they switched play. That said, we had plenty of shots on goal ourselves. We did everything we could. We were playing against Barcelona after all.

On the goals conceded, Allegri commenting: “The two goals we conceded tonight will serve us well and help us to improve, especially the second one. When you’re up against a side with so many world-class players you know you can concede at any moment.

“All the same, I want to congratulate my lads once again for their superb showing this evening.”

Losing one match takes nothing away from what has been a truly remarkable season for Juve and Allegri is already to looking forward to getting going again.

Allegri concludin: “We’ve had a massive season and not only because of everything we’ve won. We’ll start again from here and look to consolidate our position among the top eight clubs in Europe.”
