Good morning my friends. Here are the front pages from Italy main Sports newspapers La Gazzetta dello Sport, Corriere dello Sport, and Tutto Sport from Saturday 16 May 2015.
It’s the big day! Hum? Oh well… almost “a big day.” In other circumstances the Derby D’Italia would have been a top priority for Juventus and Inter, not today. Headlines from Corriere dello Sport rightly stating “The reserve of Juventus against Inter.” Here is the situation. Coach Massimiliano Allegri not calling up key players for this game deciding to give resting time to goalkeeper Gigi Buffon, forward Carlos Tevez, midfielder Andrea Pirlo, midfielder Arturo Vidal, and Evra.
Reasoning? As stated by headlines from Tutto Sport, “Sorry Inter, I have another commitment.” Allegri referring to the real big match this season which is to prepare for the UEFA Champions League final against Barcelona on June 6,,,, and before that another commitment which is Coppa Italia Final against Lazio on 20 May. . Surely, Juventus are calculating risks and I will agree with Allegri on his decision because they already won the Scudetto too… So, pressure for the Derby d’Italia is not for Juventus, but for Inter to win it. However, Juventus even with the “reserve, bench” can win the Derby… up to Inter now to show their potential at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium and defeat Juventus or draw.
Oh gosh, a headline upsetting me is about fans and the Club furious. Reportedly, Coach Vincenzo Montella has everybody against him….
Oh oh.. a turning point. Headlines stating that coach Rafael Benitez has decided to leave Napoli! What? yep… and it seems that coach Sinisa Mihajlovic will be replacing him…… and who will replace Mihajlovic in Sampdoria? Do you agree with the move?
