Uruguay defeated Portugal “the European Champions” in the FIFA World Cup Round of 16 game on Saturday 30 June 2018 at the Fisht Stadium in Sochi, Russia. Uruguay, and inspired “La Celeste,” conquered their right to be in the World Cup Quarterfinals and will face France. Hero for Uruguay is the ex-Palermo and ex-Napoli forward Edinson Cavani scoring the two goals to secure the victory. Cristiano Ronaldo was not enough to secure a victory for Portugal. Cavani named “Man of the Match.”
