Uruguay claiming the victory in the FIFA World Cup First Stage Group A game defeating Egypt on Friday June 15 at the Ekaterinburg Arena in Ekaterinburg, Russia.   FIFA World Cup Group A Standing after this First match.   Russia in the first place with 3 points and a positive goal difference of +5, Uruguay in the second place with 3 points and a positive goal difference of +1, Egypt in the 3rd place with 0 points and a negative goal difference of -1, and Saudi Arabia with 0 points and a negative goal difference of -5.

Uruguay waited 48 years to win a World Cup opening game…. and they did it today! Thumbs up!

A tough game and finally the “guest” arrived in the 89th minute. Yep, Uruguay opening the score with José Giménez defeating Egypt goalkeeper El Shenawy with a headed shot in the top right corner. The assist is by Carlos Sánchez. Party is on!!!! A historical goal for Giménez because it is his first goal in a World Cup competition and his 6th goal with Uruguay National team. Way to !
