🏆👉 France “current World Cup Champions” won the FIFA World Cup Quarterfinals defeating England on Saturday 10 December 2022 at the Al Bayt Stadium in Al Khor, Qatar. France fly to the semifinals. Aurélien Tchouameni’s goal gave the lead to France. Harry Kane equalized for the 1-1 after converting a penalty. The winner goal scored by AC Milan forward Olivier Girou that is worth the qualification. Southgate’s national team was mocked, betrayed once again by the penalty spot: Kane scored the momentary equal goal from a penalty, but then always failed from eleven meters to make it 2-2 sending the second penalty high. France will play the Semifinals against Morocco on Wednesday 14 December.

Gareth Southgate could become the first England manager to reach two World Cup semi-finals (since 2018). The English had previously only reached the semi-finals in the tournament in 1966 under Alf Ramsey and 1990 under Bobby Robson.
