Italian Soccer Serie A supports Serie A teams in Champions League
The draw for the 2021/2022 UEFA Champions League Round of 16 taking place on Monday 13 December 2021 at the House of European Football in Nyon, Switzerland. The 2 Italian Serie A teams participating are Inter and Juventus.

As per UEFA regulations, no team can play a club from their group or any side from their own association. Any other restrictions will be announced ahead of the draw ceremony. Seeded group winners play away in the round of 16 first legs and at home in the return matches. The so-called away goals rule has been removed, so ties level after 180 minutes will go to extra time irrespective of the number of goals each team has scored at home and away. If the teams still cannot be separated after the additional 30 minutes, the tie goes to a penalty shoot-out.
