Bologna triumphed in a thrilling match that captivated everyone at the Dall'Ara Stadium on Thursday, November 27, 2025, during the UEFA Europa League Matchday 5. They secured a 4-1 victory with goals from Odgaard, Dallinga, Bernardeschi, and Orsolini. Vertessen had equalized for Salzburg in the first half, making it 1-1 temporarily.

The fans were surely thrilled to witness five goals and a lot of excitement, featuring posts, crossbars, goalline saves, and incredible saves from goalkeeper Ravaglia that maintained the Rossoblu's advantage. It was a well-deserved win.  Bologna and Salzburg met for the first time in European competition.

In this calendar year, Bologna has suffered only one defeat in their 20 home games (W13, D6) across all competitions, with the loss occurring against Genoa on May 24th. Their overall home record this season stands at 10 wins and 2 losses, including four victories and three draws.

 

Bologna took the lead in the 26th minute. Jens Odgaard found the net with a right-footed shot from the center of the box, beating Salzburg goalkeeper Alexander Schlager in the bottom left corner. Orsolini's cross was blocked, but the midfielder surged forward and challenged Schlager, aided by a deflection.



 



 

Salzburg equalized in the 33rd minute. Yorbe Vertessen netted a right-footed shot from the center of the box into the center of the goal, overcoming Bologna goalkeeper Federico Ravaglia. Lucumi made a sliding error, allowing the Belgian to exchange passes with Baidoo before slipping the ball past Ravaglia.

In the 33rd minute, Salzburg equalized. Jens Odgaard found the net with a right-footed shot from the center of the box, directing the ball into the bottom left corner, thereby overcoming Bologna's goalkeeper, Federico Ravaglia. Lucumi committed a sliding error, allowing the Belgian to exchange passes with Baidoo before successfully placing the ball past Ravaglia.
