It wasn’t easy to concede so little to Mantova and, at the same time, score so many goals. It’s still August football, so I’m taking home the positives, as well as the aspects we need to keep working on.
We mustn’t fool ourselves into thinking matches in Serie B will always be like this. We have a really tough game coming up on Sunday, and we’ll need grit and maximum focus. It’s a difficult moment, and even the lead-up to the match wasn’t easy, but I want to reiterate my compliments to the boys for the balance they showed on the pitch. Now it becomes essential to improve physically, athletically, and in terms of internalizing our tactical concepts, but if we approach the league with the right mindset, then we can be protagonists.”
