Fabio Gallo's Vicenza claimed a well-earned and convincing win in the Coppa Italia Preliminary Round.  Vicenza overcoming Padova 2-0 on Sunday 10 August 2025 at the Euganeo Stadium. Vicenza is set to compete against Genoa on August 15 at the Luigi Marassi Stadium.

Alessandro Capello got the scoring started in the 14th minute with an assist from Mattia Vitale. The second goal was scored in the 46th minute when Carraro's shot slipped past Fortin, allowing Lorenzo Caferri to capitalize and tap in for a 2-0 lead.
