🏆👉Inter win the Champions League Group Stage – Group C game against Viktoria Plzen on Wednesday 26 October 2022 at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium in Milan, Italy.   This victory gives Inter the certainty of qualifying for the Round of 16 of the Champions League with one round ahead of the end of the group. Inter are second with 10 points behind the almost unattainable Bayern Munich still with full points. Inter boasts a reassuring +3 on the Catalans, at a disadvantage in direct comparisons. Viktory Plzen are in fact the only ones still at 0 points among the 32 of the Champions League group stage together with Rangers, with whom Viktoria also shares the negative record of the worst defense (16 goals conceded), albeit with the mitigation of being been included in the most difficult group of the competition.

Inter are in the 2nd position with 10 points.

 

Inter opened the score in the 35th minute. Henrikh Mkhitaryan defeated Viktoria Plzen goalkeeper Jindrich Stanek with a headed shot to the bottom right corner. The assist is by Alessandro Bastoni.

The only confrontation staged so far in Europe between Inter and Viktoria Plzen is the one that took place in the second round of the group stage of this Champions League, which ended with the Nerazzurri’s away victory 2-0. Viktoria Plzen have lost three of the four European away games played in Italy: the exception is in the partial, the 3-0 victory at Napoli, in February 2013, in the Europa League. The only Czech team to beat Inter in a European competition was Sparta Prague, in September 2016: 3-1 domestic success in the Europa League.
