Rolando: “We tried our best, and we’ll continue to do so”

MILANRolando spoke with journalists after the final whistle of Inter v Catania. This is what he had to say:

“Why didn’t we beat Catania? Because we didn’t score[smiling]. If I knew what the problem was then I’d immediately do something for the team.

“The rumours surrounding the team don’t distract us because during the game you forget everything else and all your thoughts are on winning.

“I’m an experienced player and always try to help the team. I’m speaking for myself, but I can say the team tried to score but didn’t manage to.”

Then a question regarding the Guarin situation and whether it could have affected the atmosphere: “I’m sorry for him, because it’s a complicated and difficult situation. He’s a great friend and I want the best for him. I don’t know what will happen, and it’s not my decision anyway. It’s something for the club to work out. He also went though something similar at Porto, and he doesn’t need for me to give him advice.”
