MILAN- Jeremy Menez and Philippe Mexes were the latest Milan stars to take part in a hangout with the fans. The first question arrived from Canada and Mexes was asked what he thought about Menez’s arrival at Milan last summer. The second question was whether Menez received any advice from Mexes:Mexes: “I was happy about Jeremy’s arrival at Milan. We got to know each other at Roma and then with the French national team. He’s a good person and a great player.” Menez: “I was happy that Mexes was here. I didn’t need much advice as it all went so quick. It’s great to be here at AC Milan.”Martina from Italy asked what Menez likes to do in his free-time while for Mexes she asked would he like to play upfront with Menez.Menez: “I’m often at home with my children and wife. I also have two dogs and so there are lots of things to do. I don’t do anything special. I’m a normal person like you.” Mexes: “I’m a defender and so I would have preferred not to have conceded than scored versus Cagliari. But it’s always nice to score goals. I don’t score often so it’s always really nice, I don’t experience it often.”  The next question, also from Italy, was asked to the both of them; why aren’t they very active on social network sites?Menez: “It’s not something I like much. But I respect those that use them.”Mexes: “Honestly I’ve never used any of these social sites, even if I see some of my team-mates use them for their image and for the fans that are very attached to these things. I don’t need them and they create more problems than anything. I have other things to do than stay on my phone all day.” Nurissa, head of the Milan Clubs in Indonesia, asked what are their biggest fears as footballers? Mexes: “It’s the best job and my passion, so I have no fear of anything. It’s only a pleasure because it’s a passion. You take to the pitch to win to show people we have a desire to win as many matches as possible. Nothing scares me. There’s a bit of adrenaline before the match with the fans watching on. Every day is a test and so you don’t really ever have any time to take it all in.”Menez: “Injuries. When you’re hurt, you can’t play and you’re out on the sidelines watching the others play. The fact that a career eventually comes to an end also scares me a bit. The end of my career will be a sad moment.”Question: At what age did you realise you were going to be a footballer and what pushed you towards this life?Mexes: "Late, day by day it became a passion. When I was 17/18 I understood that I could achieve it and live my passion. Now I enjoy it every day, because I have the fortune of living my passion."Question: What’s it like to lead the line for such a prestigious team like Milan?Menez: "I am very happy to be here at Milan and I train every day to be 100% ready out on the pitch. Unfortunately the results aren’t going very well at the moment and that for me is disappointing, but I try to give my all to help the team."Question: Was it always your dream to become footballers?Mexes: Yes a footballer or a fireman.Menez: I’ve been playing football since I was a little boy and I always dreamed of doing this.Question: How would you assess your career from when you started out in France to now?Mexes: “I’ve had a more or less steady career. Without changing teams too many times. I’ve always been honest and respected my contracts.”Question: How did you make it as a professional footballer?Menez: “Lots of sacrifices and by knowing the right people.”Question: What’s it like to wear the Milan jersey?Menez: “I am really pleased to be at Milan and I am sorry that we’re not in the Champions League. But it’s an honour to wear this shirt and we will do everything to qualify for Europe because the fans deserve it.”Question: You’re having your best season. How do you explain it?Menez: “Last year I had an operation and I didn’t play much and so this year I’ve been able to give my all. I’m more mature and you can see this out on the pitch.”
