MILAN – Juventus came back from behind to win 2-1 against Milan on Saturday night in a tightly fought and action packed contest at the San Siro.The Rossoneri came charging out of the blocks and threatened early on with an Abate cross-shot which came crashing against the post. Moments later, Buffon was at full stretch to keep out a curling Balotelli free-kick before performing miracles to keep out the rebound from Antonelli.Milan’s bright start was rewarded though on 18 minutes as Balotelli’s pinpoint corner-kick found Alex who headed beyond Juve’s goalkeeper to break the deadlock.A goal down, Juve sprung to life with Donnarumma flying to fingertip a fierce strike from Marchisio over the bar. However, there was little the Milan shot-stopper could do to stop Mandzukic from tapping in from close range on a Morata assist shortly before the half-hour mark.Milan emerged in determined mood after the restart but were thwarted again by a super Buffon who made an incredible double save, firstly parrying a strike from Bacca and then pushing Balotelli’s follow-up effort onto the bar. At the other end, Pogba sent a sweetly struck free-kick against the post and the Frenchman went one better moments later as he sent a half-volley over Donnarumma and into the back of the net on 65 minutes. The Rossoneri pushed for an equaliser but to no avail although Boateng saw a volley go off-target from the edge of the area in the closing stages.
