MILAN – Here are all the results over the weekend from the AC Milan Youth Sector:GIOVANISSIMI NAZIONALI THROUGH TO LAST-16 The Giovanissimi Nazionali coached by Omar Danesi qualified for the last-16 of the Scudetto finals after a 5-1 aggregate victory over Latina. The rossoneri won the first leg of the last-32 play-off 2-0 last weekend and booked their place in the next round following a 3-1 victory in the second-leg on Sunday. Bellanova cancelled out a Latina opener before Vigolo and Finessi completed the comeback and secured the win. Latina, who were the home side, ended the game in ten men. Standing in the way of the rossoneri in the next round and going through to the Final-8 are Fiorentina. The Tuscans defeated Lecce in their last-32 play-off.ALLIEVI LEGA PRO TAKE THIRD PLACE IN GENEVAThe Allievi Lega Pro finished in third place at the Geneva International tournament after a 2-0 victory over Arsenal in the third place play-off. The goals for the rossoneri youth sector team were both scored by Marchesi, one of which was a sublime free-kick. At the tournament, Alessandro Lupi’s team topped group B ahead of Benfica, Basle and Meyrin. At the semi-final stage, the rossoneri were edged out by Atletico Madrid losing 1-0, but can take consolation from their third place finish.THIRD PLACE FOR THE GIOVANISSIMI TOO At the Niccolò Galli Memorial, in memory of ex-Milan Giovanni Galli’s son, the Giovanissimi Regionali B 2002 came in third place. The rossoneri defeated Roma 3-1 in the third place play-off thanks to goals from Capone (penalty), Pio Loco and Luscietti. Roberto Bertuzzo’s players can be more than proud of their performances, defeating Olimpia Firenze 6-0 in their first match. They then played out a 1-1 draw with Fiorentina, only to lose out in the penalty shoot-out with the Tuscans. They restored winning ways against Bologna (1-0) and Juventus (3-1) to qualify for the third place play-off.ESORDIENTI 2003 WIN TOURNAMENTThe team coached by Morin won the Città di Bresso International Tournament following a 2-0 win over Atalanta in the final.ESORDIENTI 2004: MILAN-ATALANTA 1-0After wins over Vicenza (3-1), Atalanta (3-1) and Spal (4-0) in the group stages, the Esordienti 2004 defeated Verona in the semi-finals and Atalanta in the final to win the CUS Ferrara Tournament.PULCINI 2006: MILAN-HERTHA BERLIN 3-0The Pulcini 2006 won the Pfingstturnier Tournament in Germany. The rossoneri youngsters defeated Rosenhohe 3-0 in the semi-final and overcame Hertha by the same score-line in the final.Finally, the Milan Primavera will train all week before a friendly on Saturday 30th of May at the Vismara. Following that, the players will be given another two days off before meeting up again on the 2nd of June to begin the final preparations for the Scudetto finals. A reminder that this year’s Final-8 takes place in Liguria and it begins on the 9th of June.
