The 2025-26 Coppa Italia Preliminary Round has concluded. The results are in: Entella, Vicenza, Cerignola, and Pescara have all qualified for the Round of 32. Entella achieved a remarkable 4-0 victory over Ternana on Saturday. As a result, Entella will face Cagliari on August 16 at 20.45.
Padova 0 – 2 Vicenza: Fabio Gallo’s Vicenza claimed a well-earned and convincing win, overcoming Padova 2-0 at the Euganeo. Vicenza is set to compete against Genoa on August 15 at the Luigi Marassi Stadium. Alessandro Capello got the scoring started in the 14th minute with an assist from Mattia Vitale. The second goal was scored in the 46th minute when Carraro’s shot slipped past Fortin, allowing Lorenzo Caferri to capitalize and tap in for a 2-0 lead.

Pescara 1 – 0 Rimini. Pescara clinched a place in the Coppa Italia with a slim win against Rimini on Sunday, August 10, 2025, at the Stadio Adriatico-Giovanni Cornacchia. The victory was celebrated in front of around 4,000 paying fans. Pescara will challenge Parma in the Round of 32 on Sunday August 17 at the Tardini Stadium. Davide Merola and Luca Valzania stood out as the key players. Valzania received the ball in an attacking position and shot past goalkeeper Alessandro Bagli, scoring the only goal of the match.

Cerignola 1 – 0 Avellino. Cerignola triumphed over Avellino in the Coppa Italia Preliminary Round on Sunday, August 10, 2025, at the Domenico Monterisi Stadium. This victory secured Cerignola a place in the Coppa Italia round of 32. It was a well-deserved win for the Ofantini, who had several clear opportunities but managed to convert only one, largely due to the outstanding performance of goalkeeper Antony Iannarilli. The decisive goal was scored in the 59th minute, following a brilliant assist from Russo, a header by Coccia, and a fantastic counter by Iannarilli, who also dealt with the rebound. The ball remained in play, and Luigi Cuppone charged in for his third opportunity and made it count. Avellino had a vital chance to equalize in the 93rd minute, thanks to Crespi. Cerignola has now moved on to the Round of 32, where they will face Hellas Verona on Sunday, August 15.
From August 15th to 18th, Serie B teams along with the top Serie A Enilive teams will hit the field for the round of 32 matches. (First Round)
