Italian Soccer Serie A blog by Anna Italia congratulates Frosinone for their promotion to the Serie A 2015-2016 season with 1 game to spare. Frosinone promoted on Saturday 16 May 2015 after defeating Crotone with a 3-1 at the Stadio Comunale nicknamed “The Matusa”. It’s a historic day because Frosinone making it for the first time in Serie A. The dream is now a reality. We will have 3 teams from Lazio region next season: Lazio, AS Roma, and Frosinone.
Frosinone was founded in 1912 as Union Sportive Frusinate. The Club changed their name in 1990 to Frosinone Calcio.

- Chairman: Maurizio Stirpe.
Frosinone nicknames include:
- Canarini (The Canaries)
- Gialloazzurri (The Yellow-light Blues)
- Ciociari (The Ciociarians)
