MILAN – The AC Milan Youth Sector side, the Primavera, defeated Cagliari 4-0 on Sunday morning to begin 2015 in the best possible way.Sunday’s youth sector league match at the Vismara was the first match back following the winter break and the rossoneri took control of the match right from the start and on 13 minutes Milan broke the deadlock through Patrick Cutrone. Di Molfetta provided the assist with a pinpoint cross from the right which found Cutrone at the back post and the striker made no mistakes to head the ball past the Cagliari goalkeeper. Cutrone’s header on Sunday was his second league goal of the season after also scoring against Perugia in November.Just 3 minutes later and Milan doubled their lead. Crociata’s cross took a touch off a Cagliari player, but Michael Fabbro came steaming forwards to make a connection, slotting the ball into the back of the net with a powerful shot with the inside of his left foot. The home side were in determined mood and came close to opening up a 3 goal cushion over their opponents. Felicioli made a run towards the by-line down the left flank and managed to cross the ball for Di Molfetta. The Milan number 10 got on the end of the cross, but his volleyed-effort was blocked by Cagliari’s Scintu. It was one-way Milan traffic and the rossoneri gave an excellent display of attacking football. The third goal eventually arrived on 60 minutes thanks to a splendid effort by Davide Calabria. The Milan no. 2 received the ball inside the penalty area and put the ball past the Cagliari goalkeeper with a fantastic right-foot volley. The Milan right back took his goal tally to 3 for the season with his goal against Cagliari.Milan thought they had made it 4-0 just under 15 minutes later, but the goal was ruled out for offside. In the end it didn’t matter though as the rossoneri were able to get a fourth goal on 79 minutes when second-half substitute Papasodaro headed in Di Molfetta’s free-kick.This is how the two sides lined-up at the start of the match:MILAN: Gori; Calabria, Felicioli, De Santis, Gamarra, Bonanni, Mastalli, Crociata, Cutrone, Di Molfetta, Fabbro.
