WINNING START

MILAN – The Milan youth sector team, the Allievi, won their first group stage match of the Al Kass International Cup 4-3 on Thursday against River Plate in Doha, Qatar.The rossoneri made a bright start to the match but went a goal down on 22 minutes after a goal by Franco Lopez. The River Plate no. 7 then went from goal-scorer to provider, setting up Zicarelli on 38 minutes to double their lead. Just 3 minutes later though, Milan pulled a goal back thanks to Careccia who was the quickest to react to Hamadi’s effort which thumped against the post.Soon after the restart the rossoneri were able to find an equaliser through Junior Agnero after he capitalised on a defensive mix-up from the Argentine side. Minutes later Milan took the lead for the first time in the match after a fierce left foot strike from Zakaria Hamadi. There was barely a minute to celebrate though as River Plate levelled the scores from the penalty spot thanks to Andres Vera. It was to be the rossoneri’s day however and Cosimo La Ferrara made sure Milan ran out 4-3 winners in a thrilling contest in the Al Kass International Cup.Milan's next group stage match is against Juventus on the 8th of February.The other groups are:- Arsenal, Visser Kobe, Aspire Qatar- Schalke 04, Real Madrid, Aspire International- Atletico Madrid, Paris Saint Germain, San Paolo
