MILAN – The club’s youth sector side, the Primavera, showed great spirit on Saturday afternoon to come back from a goal down at half-time to win 4-1 in the league match away to Hellas Verona. The rossoneri youngsters started the match very well by pressing their opponents, dominating possession and pinning Hellas back. However, despite their bright start, Hellas managed to score against the run of play with a goal on the counter attack through Fares on 28 minutes. It meant the rossoneri went in at half-time trailing 1-0. Hachim Mastour, making his Primavera debut for the season, was one of the stand out players in the opening 45 minutes.Hellas’ lead didn’t last long though and on 61 minutes Milan found the equaliser through Vassallo. Buoyed by Vassallo’s excellent goal, the rossoneri continued to push and they eventually took the lead on 80 minutes from the penalty spot. Credit goes to Vido as the striker did brilliantly to win back possession before being brought down in the penalty area by the Hellas shot-stopper who was subsequently sent off. After winning his side the penalty, Vido brushed himself-off to convert it and in doing so gave his side a 2-1 lead. With a numerical advantage, Milan killed off the game in the final moments. The first to strike was Modic on 94 minutes after a well taken free-kick before Vido completed his brace one minute later.Coach Cristian Brocchi’s players never gave up and showed real battling spirit to fully deserve the 4-1 victory. This is how the two sides lined-up:HELLAS VERONA: Ferrari; Perini, Tentardini, Salifù, Boateng, Boni, Lazaros, Guglielmelli, Cappelluzzo, Speri, Fares.
