TRAINING WITH A THOUGHT FOR GENOA

MILAN – After the brilliant victory away to Hellas Verona on Sunday and Monday’s day of rest, the players were back training at Milanello on Tuesday morning.After a warm-up indoors, the players headed out onto the raised pitch to do some running and strength exercises for the legs. Abate, Niang and Pazzini did running drills over 100 metres.Following this phase of the training session, the players moved across to the lower pitch at Milanello to work on possession. Honda, Abate and Alex then did running drills on the raised pitch. Muntari likewise did running drills but on the athletics track over increasing distances.The first training session of the week, ahead of Sunday’s match with Fiorentina, came to a close with a practice match with the use of 3 small goals. CEO Adriano Galliani was also present at Milanello to oversee the team’s training session. The players will continue with their preparations ahead of the Fiorentina match by taking part in a double training session at Milanello on Wednesday. The first one will be scheduled at 11.00 while the second later on in the afternoon at 15.30.Before Tuesday's session started, former Sampdoria players Poli and Pazzini and ex Genoa El Shaarawy showed their support at Milanello for the city of Genoa.
