MILAN - Paolo Maldini has written himself into the history books of world football following his 902 competitive matches for Milan and 126 caps for Italy. The first of those Milan appearances happened today 30 years ago at Udinese where Nils Liedholm brought the youngster off the bench in a 1-1 draw.Having come through the youth ranks where he won the Youth Cup, Paolo would then lift 26 trophies, 13 in Italy including seven league titles and 13 abroad which included five Champions Cups/Champions Leagues.Thirty years after his first appearance for Milan, Paolo's son is having a positive season in Cristian Brocchi's youth team.
