Italian top-flight pledges support in battle against cystic fibrosis.

MILAN –  Serie A is pledging its support in the battle against Cystic Fibrosis and for the next round of Serie A matches, awareness about the genetic disease will be raised. Furthermore, a banner with the campaign slogan and campaign number where you can make a donation via text (45509) will also be unveiled ahead of kick-off.

 

Italian actor Marco Bocci is the ambassador for the campaign and a TV advert in which he stars will be shown on all of the main TV channels. Through donations, the Lega Italiana Fibrosi Cistica Onlus (the Italian Cystic Fibrosis Charity), will be supporting the ‘Ex Vivo Lung Perfusion’ project. This is a technique that aims to increase the number of donor lungs available for transplant in cystic fibrosis patients.

To make a 2 euro donation all you have to do is send a text to 45509 through one of the following telephone operators: TIM, Vodafone, WIND, 3, PosteMobile, CoopVoce. You can also call from a  Vodafone, TeleTu and TWT landline. Alternatively, you can make a 2 or 5 euros donation from a Telecom Italia, Infostrada or Fastweb land-line.
