MILAN - Here are some of the comments made by President Berlusconi to Gazzetta dello Sport newspaper: "I have always worked for Milan, even when I did not go to Milanello. But now I have more time and there  is a nice atmosphere at Milan, a new coach with a real desire to win and to go back to being protagonists in Italy, in Europe, in the world, as it has always been for the past thirty years."
Silvio Berlusconi added: "Inzaghi gets a full eight. This is the beginning of reconstruction work, we are organizing the play. Inzaghi has already demonstrated to possess humility, respect for others, the ability to motivate are essential for its role. It is too early to hand the team a vote but it could be a seven for encouragement, a seven which is Menez’s number."
The AC Milan number one went on to tell Gazzetta dello Sport: "We are working to rebuild a winning Milan. In recent years, some stars is gone, it is even our fault, probably. This year I have spoken about the transfer market. I repeat: we must believe and even know how to wait. But the recovery has already started. We have reinforced more than Juventus and Roma. Our goal is to get back into Europe soon. I think in football there are cycles, with years of success, a lull and then back to winning ways. But the fans should be rest assured. The team is already competitive and will be back as a leader in Europe soon."
And here is the dream of President Berlusconi: "In 2016 there will be the Champions League Final in Milan. Why should we not dream of being there? Meanwhile, congratulations to Ancelotti who has just renewed his contract. Carletto was one of our consultants in the transfer market, he was close to Galliani and me because it gave us his advice on Lopez, Alex and Menez. Is my daughter Barbara the future president of Milan? Of course. I see her more and more committed and passionate. She is doing a great job. She wanted Casa Milan, she designed and implemented it, is the home of the most beautiful club in the world."
