MILANELLO – The club president Silvio Berlusconi arrived at Milanello on Saturday by helicopter at 13.30 local time for his 22nd visit of the season. He was welcomed by CEO Adriano Galliani and head coach Filippo Inzaghi. Together, the three headed over to the dining room for lunch at Milanello.
At around 15.35, the club president headed down to the locker rooms to speak to the Milan squad. This is what he said: "I now think that with all the injuries behind us and having welcomed back practically everyone, apart from you that are still missing (to Riccardo Montolivo, editor’s note) but will be back soon, we can do well and have the chance to give everything. The derbies are traditional matches and are the most important matches of the year and this year even more so because we have more or less the same number of points. The team that wins will come out of the crisis, who loses stays there. So, tomorrow’s match is particularly important. The stadium will be full for the first time this year. There will also be 10.000 people from abroad at the San Siro, here in Milan for the Salone del Mobile and that will be at the derby. The weather will be good, the playing surface excellent, and so the conditions are fantastic for the match. Congratulations for your 16 goals (aimed at Menez, editor’s note)."
Shortly after 16.00 the club president left Milanello by helicopter.
