POST-MATCH REACTION

MILAN- The post-match interviews following the 0-0 draw between Milan and Chievo Verona at the Bentegodi stadium on Saturday night:
MAURO TASSOTTI"It was a match that we could have won, we had a couple of chances in which we could have scored. We had a golden chance with Menez. It wasn’t an easy match, they are in good form, we hoped we could have won but we weren’t able to. There was the odd injury, we had to make changes and towards the end we had lots of forwards on the pitch and we were at a slight risk on the counter-attack. This was a big chance for us, let’s hope that on Sunday some of the other results are in our favour. We need to go on a 3 or 4 game winning run. Bocchetti is improving. He didn’t arrive in an ideal condition, but because of the team’s needs, he had to start and he is growing with each match."
LUCA ANTONELLI"The only positive note is that we kept a second successive clean sheet. We were the only side to attack in the first-half, in the second we had two chances, and Honda hit the bar. I am a player that always tries to give 120% and here at Milan I will always try and give that little bit extra. Our objective is to qualify for Europe, we will try and give something extra to achieve that. I am sorry that we weren’t able to pick up 3 points for the fans."
SALVATORE BOCCHETTI"I am happy that the defence didn’t concede a goal. We had three or four opportunities that we could have dealt with better. I am fine, and thanks to the coach and my team-mates, I am reaching my peak fitness. We must all give that little bit extra because our objective remains European qualification. We have to give more starting next Saturday against Hellas Verona and win."
FILIPPO INZAGHI"Perhaps we could have done more in the first-half, but I don’t remember sides that have come here to Verona and dominated. There was probably a penalty on Destro, and then we should have dealt better with the chances that we had. We must roll-up our sleeves, work and make a winning return as of next Saturday. If we were to win, I am sure that we will soon be in a different position. I thought I would have 2 important changes with Pazzini and Cerci and I hoped to use them 30 minutes from the end, but we then lost Montolivo and everything changed. We tried to win the match with 4 forwards on the pitch, but we weren’t able to. Chievo are a tough side to face, they defend well and break, they are dangerous at home, lots of teams have struggled. Diego Lopez had very little to do. Destro played well, but when you have a player like Pazzini on the bench, who deserves to play, 25 minutes from the end it’s right to throw him on. Destro did well, he gave a good performance."
