POSITIVE DAY

(IN THE PHOTO: El Shaarawy during the practice match)MILANELLO - Following Monday’s training session and the updates regarding the injuries to Diego Lopez, Alex and Saponara, Milan took part in a double training session today at Milanello ahead of Saturday’s match versus Juventus at the San Siro at 20.45.The first session took place this morning. The players started by doing a warm-up and some exercises out on the synthetic pitch at Milanello. El Shaarawy took part with the rest of the group. Following that, the players that started the match versus Parma along with Torres and El Shaarawy went inside to work out in the gym. The rest of the players stayed outside to train. Muntari did some jogging while Honda and Niang worked on set-pieces.The afternoon session meanwhile began at 16.00. It started with a warm up by doing some technical drills with the ball. This was followed by some more work with the ball over 4 work stations which focused on passing and possession. The players then did some stretching before focusing on possession again by playing a 10 v 10 match on a reduced size pitch with a free floating player which was Stephan El Shaarawy.The session came to an end with some work on tactics and the usual practice match over half a pitch with goalkeepers.Individuals: Abbiati, Agazzi and Gori initially trained apart from the rest of the group by working on specific goalkeeping drills before coming together with the rest of the players.Stephan El Shaarawy did the entire session with the rest of the group in what was a very positive day at work for the Italian.Fernando Torres continued as planned by training apart in the gym.The rossoneri will train again tomorrow afternoon at 15.30.
