PERUGIA SWEPT ASIDE

MILAN- The club’s youth sector side, the Primavera, stormed to another big league win on Saturday. After last week’s 6-1 demolition of Virtus Lanciano, the rossoneri were at it again and swept aside Perugia 7-1 at the Vismara Sports Centre.Cristian Brocchi’s side made a very strong start to the match and were able to break the deadlock after just 2 minutes of play thanks to a right foot effort from Christian Maldini. It was also the defender's first goal this season for the Primavera. The side from Umbria reacted well and managed to find an equaliser on 18 minutes through Pozzebon.Just before the half-hour mark though Di Molfetta kept his cool from the penalty spot to restore the rossoneri’s lead. On 31 minutes, Patrick Cutrone netted his first league goal of the season to give Milan a two-goal cushion and a 3-1 lead at half-time.In the second-half, the rossoneri ran riot.Just four minutes in, Vido beat the Perugia shot-stopper at the near post and then 2 minutes later Milan’s no.11 was on the score-sheet again thanks to an assist from Locatelli. Saturday's brace takes his league goal tally to 7 for the season. The team captain Mastalli added a sixth goal while Ronchi rounded off proceedings for an impressive final score of 7-1 in favour of the rossoneri.The latest victory means the Primavera consolidate second place the league table and are on 25 points after 10 matches played. The team’s record so far reads 8 wins, 1 draw and just 1 defeat. On the 23rd of December the rossoneri play away to Atalanta for the rescheduled league match.
