MILAN - It was September 9th 2001 Milan had signed the big three: Inzaghi-Pirlo-Rui Costa. After the draw on the opening day at Brescia where Rui injured his wrist, Fiorentina arrived at the San Siro. 
Shevchenko opened the scoring only for Chiesa to equalise but then Laursen put the Rossoneri in front again. The match was still in the balance until Inzaghi undid the defence and rounded the goalkeeper for his first goal for the club.
Inzaghi may have gone on to score over a 100 goals for Milan but he would never find one against the Viola again. However, it was still a cracking goal.
