MILAN- Last year over 10 thousand children took part at the adidas Milan Junior Camps in 138 locations across the world and the 2015 Milan Junior Camp season is about to begin!Once again and just like in previous years, the Milan Junior Camp Day will kick-off proceedings and mark the start of the new season. The weekend event is dedicated entirely to those children that took part last season at one of the camps as part of the Milan Junior project. The Milan Junior Camp Day is now in its 15th edition and will be held on the weekend of the 21st and 22nd of March. Over 400 children will be taking part with a total of 1300 people present over the weekend for 2 days of football and fun organised by the rossoneri. Children from all over the world will be arriving in Milan, from Mexico to India, Denmark to the United Arab Emirates, Canada to Australia bringing together a mix of different languages and cultures but all united by their passion for the beautiful game. Both days are action packed on and off the pitch. On Saturday, those born in the years 2000/2001 will take part in a friendly tournament starting at 09.30 at the Vismara Sports Centre, the home of the AC Milan Youth Sector. On Sunday it will then be the turn of those born in the years 2004/2005 to take part in a friendly tournament at the Vismara. For the entire weekend, 90 coaches from the Milan Junior Camp will be watching over the children, representing the 300 coaches that every year follow the children that take part in the Milan camps both in Italy and abroad. But that’s not all: to make it an even more memorable weekend the children will also have the chance to watch Milan’s Round 28 Serie A match at home to Cagliari scheduled for Saturday at the San Siro. They will also be out on the pitch as part of a colourful parade during the half time interval and the entertainment put on offer. In addition, over the two day event former stars of the past such as Franco Baresi, Filippo Galli, Serginho and Pierino Prati will be paying a visit to the children. It will offer them the chance to realise a dream of meeting ex-players that have made Milan one of the biggest clubs in the world.
