MILANELLO – After Milan’s TIM Trophy win last Saturday and the subsequent 2 days of rest, the players returned to Milanello for an afternoon training session on Tuesday.
The players headed out onto the raised pitch at 17.00 and began with a warm-up, a jog, stretching and some sprints.
At this point, the squad was divided into two groups. Muntari, De Jong, Mastalli, Armero, Essien, Cristante, Poli and Saponara did some intense running drills on the central pitch at Milanello while all the other players trained on the raised pitch.
Afterwards, the two groups came together to work on four different possession exercises.
The goalkeepers started the session on the lower pitch with the goalkeeping coach before joining-up with the rest of the squad for the practice match at the end of the session.
On Wednesday the players will have a double training session.
