“GOOD ATTITUDE”

MILAN- This is what was said by the coach and the players following Milan’s 3-0 victory in the friendly fixture at the Mapei Stadium against Reggiana:
FILIPPO INZAGHI"The team played well. I am happy with the attitude of the team, for the individual performances and for the youth players that did well, but we know that the Milan Youth Sector is doing well. Suso? That was his role (in support of the striker in a 4-3-3, editor’s note), it’s been a while that I’ve wanted to try him out, but in that position we also have Cerci and Honda. We know he’s an excellent player, we need to give him time to settle, if he plays like that he will put me in difficulty! I’ve known Mastalli for a long time, Felicioli also had a good game on the left. We have some important young players, but you need the right chance to launch them and it’s not a moment which makes it easy for a young player. We played how we know how, some of our moves were thanks to the 4-3-3, it’s our playing system, we had changed it, but this is the way we play. De Sciglio and Zapata have already recovered, but we thought about giving them another week of training. Let’s see who else we can welcome back from injury. If you have all the players available, you have some important options on the bench and you can send out a competitive line-up."
SUSO"I’ve been here for a while and it’s true that I hadn’t started a match. I tried to do what I always do and tonight it went well. I am happy. I think that by playing on the right I have the chance to score or to provide assists, but I think the most important thing is the win for the team and to do well. My ideal position is where I played today. I like it on the right, I’ve played a lot there, just like I also like playing behind the strikers. The main thing is to play, I don’t mind in what position. I always try to help the team and it’s only normal that I would have wanted to play more. The coach sees me every day in training and he knows how and when to use me. I’m waiting for my chance. I am always ready to help the team and the coach will do what is best for the team. I will try, when I’m handed a start, to play like today or even better. I am ready to play and I am working very hard in training. My second goal? I was lucky, but if I play in this position it’s only normal that you play like this. It was a nice goal, but it’s in the past now. Favourite players? There are many, Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo above all. I look up to all the Spanish players and not one in particular, there are many in Spain."
HACHIM MASTOUR"I am very happy to have come home, I grew a lot here. I am happy about this friendly, it’s a shame I cannot play. Here they really wanted the best for me and I am happy about this. My recovery is going well. There is still a month and a half to go before I get back out on the pitch and I hope it can only get better. Since arriving at Milan I’ve grown a lot, both physically and mentally."
ALESSANDRO MASTALLI"We had a good first-half, we played just how the coach wanted. I always look at my performance and then if a goal does come then I am only happy. Play with the First Team? It only depends on me. Suso is a great player, technically he’s one of the strongest, when he has the ball on his left foot it’s very impressive. I’m always thinking about my debut, should I be called-up then that’s brilliant, if not I will continue like this and work even harder. It will be hard against Palermo, they’re an excellent side and they’re having a really good season."
