‘GIVE OUR ALL’

MILAN – Filippo Inzaghi held his pre-match press conference ahead of Napoli-Milan. This is what the coach had to say:
Opening comments: "While I’m here, the thing that counts the most is giving our all. What happened away at Udinese has to be a one-off incident. Playing away at Napoli is a big chance and I am interested to see how the team react. I back up what the President Silvio Berlusconi said. We all want the best for Milan. We shall see when there is something official."
On European hopes: "While it is still mathematically possible, we have to continue fighting. Napoli and Roma are two important matches, we must give a good performance on Sunday and try and come away with a positive result. Napoli are the strongest side in Serie A at home, I am expecting a hard match. I do not expect to see a Napoli side demotivated (after a 4-2 defeat away at Empoli in the previous round, editor’s note)."
The coach continued: "We have to start-off again from good performances. There are cycles in football, at the moment we are struggling but we will soon get back to the top. We all feel under observation, I will always give my very best and prepare for each match in the best possible manner. It wasn’t our night against Genoa, but things need to be put behind us and we have to look forwards. As for the starting line-up, I still have to think it through. De Sciglio will definitely play on the right. Poli will come back and I have to think about where Bonaventura will play. We will also have 3 youth sector players in the squad who are very good and that I know well. I hope the side are more relaxed mentally and play better football."
On his future: "I have a contract with Milan and everybody knows that I will give my all until the end. The President is doing everything he can to get Milan back to the top. We have to accept the criticisms but at the same time try and finish the season positively and let our football do the talking. We all need to take our responsibilities and do more. I don’t think Menez deserved those two yellow cards, but having said that, his reaction was obviously wrong. Honda might start the match against Napoli."
Inzaghi also spoke to the Milan Channel shortly before his press-conference. Click here to read more.
