MILAN- Filippo Inzaghi held his pre-match press conference at Milanello on Friday. These were the coach’s thoughts ahead of the Udinese clash. 
Opening comments: "We must take things one game at a time and the most important thing right now is Saturday’s match. We have to play as a team and we need to be consistent with our performances. Lately I believe we have been playing well. I hope that on Saturday Milan dominate the match and pick up three points against Udinese which would be very important for morale and the league table. We need to be more clinical in front of goal. We are creating lots of chances, and I am satisfied by this, but we need to be sharper in front of goal. We have been lacking something in the final third of the pitch and this week we have worked on this." 
The coach continued: "The team is focused on its job. I am calm and I feel the support of the club every day. We go into the match on the back of 2 wins and 2 draws. The past 2 draws have stopped our climb back up the league table. We have to try and move forwards. Udinese will be a big test, just like the Palermo match, but if we play in the right manner it can be a positive day. We have to earn praise by playing well. I am realistic, I re-watch our matches back 4 or 5 times and it helps me understand better. Seeing the draw for the Champions League has to be a source of motivation for us to get back to those levels. I am happy that there are still 3 Serie A sides in Europe." 
A question on the busy fixture list, which will see the rossoneri play three times in the space of a week: "We’re taking things one match a time. Against Udinese, the players that give me the most guarantees will play. De Sciglio is an important player. I have 3 international full backs in that role. We have 3 matches coming up in the space of a week and he will have a chance, but I haven’t yet decided in which of the next 3 matches. The squad don’t seem to be distracted and instead are very focused. In training they are following the coaching staff’s instructions. The best response will come out on the pitch and we hope to do that versus Udinese." 
Focus on Saturday’s opponents Udinese and an update on the club captain: "It’s a key match and we will try and do our best. We know that 3 important points are up for grabs. I’ve said that we could have done more in January and February. We all know what happened (lengthy injury list, editor’s note) but we have to move forwards. With a complete squad we’ve been more consistent with our results. The core of the team will remain more or less the same. 2 or 3 players can change because I have plenty of choice. I have some doubts, as they all offer me guarantees. Montolivo is well and has fully recovered. He has been out for a while and needs to train. Next week he will train again with the group and at Napoli he could be in the squad. I don’t know if he will be able to make it for Wednesday’s match with Genoa." 
There will be plenty of respect between the two opposing coaches on Saturday: "I am tied by a great friendship with Stramaccioni. We did our coaching course together and we cheer each other on when we’re not going head to head! The derby? We played in my opinion very well in the first half and should have taken the lead. In the second half meanwhile Inter came back strong. It was a balanced derby. Having watched it back 2 or 3 times, I believe it was a fair result. I haven’t yet spoken to the President. I will speak with him on Friday or Saturday morning. No one can imagine Milan without Silvio Berlusconi, because he made Milan the most successful side in the world. No one can know what will happen." 
More on individuals: "Suso has played well, just like Cerci and Honda before that. In that role, it is hard to make the ideal decision. All 3 are quality players. I will have to choose whether to give Suso more playing time, bring Honda back who did very well before his injury or start with Cerci who has also done very well with his last performances. I want to be consistent with our line-up and with our playing style. Destro and Cerci have both played well. I have to focus on the team though. In attack we have 6 players and they all deserve to play from the very start. I have to make my choices however. Destro is calm and has worked well during the week. He will play from the start if I retain it right against Udinese. Otherwise, he will come off the bench." 
Closing comments: "Against Udinese we have to dominate, you only win away at Udinese by playing in an organised and compact manner. It’s down to us and we have to collect as many points as possible. If we don’t win, how the other sides around us do will become irrelevant."
