FINAL SESSION

MILANELLO – Following on from Thursday’s light training session, the players were back at work on Friday at Milanello for the final training session of the week. The players made their way onto the lower pitch at 11.15 and began by doing a warm-up with the use of the ball. Afterwards, the players did some running, stretching and exercises for the upper and lower limbs. The players then worked on some technical-tactical drills on a reduced size pitch with one full size goal on one side and 3 small goals on the other side.Friday’s training session came to a close with a practice match which ended 5-2 in favour of the players with the orange bibs against those with the black bibs. The goals for the team with the orange bibs came from El Shaarawy (2), Torres (2) and Gamarra. The black bibs meanwhile had Mbaye Niang to thank who scored both of the goals. Individuals: Riccardo Saponara did running drills while Ignazio Abate did runs over 50m.The players will now be given the weekend to rest by head coach Filippo Inzaghi. The next session for the players is scheduled for Monday at 15.00 when they will re-commence with preparations ahead of next Sunday’s match on the 19th of October away to Hellas Verona at the Bentegodi Stadium (15.00 kick-off).
