CONVINCING WIN

MILAN – The Milan youth sector team (the Primavera) coached by Cristian Brocchi swept aside Pescara on Saturday morning 4-0. The rossoneri youngsters took the lead after only 6 minutes of play when the team’s captain Mastalli was set up by Cutrone before striking the ball past the Pescara goalkeeper with a left foot shot. It was the skipper’s second goal of the season. Milan went in search of a second and had chances to do so as Cutrone nearly went from provider to goal-scorer connecting with a cross from the right to head the ball inches wide of the post. Just after the half hour mark, Cutrone went even closer to doubling Milan’s lead as he saw an effort strike the cross-bar.Milan’s efforts eventually paid off on 39 minutes when Di Molfetta won and then converted from the penalty spot. Di Molfetta was on the score-sheet again minutes later to take Milan into a 3-0 lead at half-time.In the second-half, Pescara were awarded a penalty kick on 67 minutes after Rondanini was judged to have fouled Torreira in the penalty area. However, Donnarumma made an excellent save to keep out the penalty.With just over 15 minutes remaining, Locatelli completed the rout to make it 4-0.
