The rossoneri quickly opened up a two goal lead: Stroppa put the ball past the Cesena goalkeeper on 7 minutes and then 3 minutes later Borgonovo made it two nil. Moments before the half-time interval Massaro scored the third goal. With a commanding lead, the rossoneri controlled the match to bring home the first 2 points of the season.
