MILAN – It was a brilliant victory by coach Inzaghi’s side on Sunday afternoon at the Bentegodi stadium, which saw the rossoneri pick-up their first win away to Hellas Verona since the 2001/2002 season.
Here is a look at some other interesting stats to emerge from Milan’s 3-1 victory away to Hellas Verona:
Keisuke Honda’s first brace. The Japanese star took his Serie A goal tally to 6 for the season after scoring his first brace for Milan on Sunday afternoon. It was also the Japanese star’s 5th goal away from the San Siro. The others came at the Marassi stadium against Genoa last season and this season away to Parma and Empoli.
9- the number of wins collected by the rossoneri away at the Bentegodi.
16- the number of goals scored in the first-half by Milan away to Hellas Verona. Statistically, the rossoneri have now scored more goals in the first half against Hellas, who number 15 in the first-half.
28 April 2002- the last time Milan beat Hellas at the Bentegodi. On that day, the match ended 2-1 thanks to goals from Filippo Inzaghi and Andrea Pirlo.
3-1- Milan equaled their biggest win away to Hellas Verona. The rossoneri had previously won 3-1 against Hellas in 1968/69, 1970/71 and 1978/1979.
