MILAN - In what is an especially important year for the city of Milan, AC Milan have decided to dedicate this year’s edition of the Luigi Berlusconi Trophy to the Expo 2015. AC Milan have therefore invited Inter to compete in a special Derby for the 24th edition of the Luigi Berlusconi Trophy and to mark the end of the Expo 2015.
It promises to be a unique event for all football fans, not just rossoneri and nerazzurri, providing them with an opportunity to enjoy the thrills and excitement of an all-city derby with an international feel thanks also to the collaboration with the Universal Exposition.
The Luigi Berlusconi Trophy between AC Milan-Inter will be played on the 21st of October at the San Siro and will kick-off at 18.00 local time. The rossoneri’s shirt sponsor for the past five seasons, Emirates, will be sponsoring the Derby in the same week that the company celebrates 30 years of business. What is more, Emirates will hand out the ‘Man of the Match’ award at the end of the fixture.
The 24th edition of the Luigi Berlusconi Trophy, backed by the Expo 2015 and the City of Milan Council, was presented on Monday the 12th of October at the Technogym Lounge at the Universal Exposition site. Two former stars were both on hand at the joint press-conference, Franco Baresi and Francesco Toldo, in addition to the Expo 2015 S.p.A. Institutional Relations Director Roberto Arditti, AC Milan Commercial Director Jaap Kalma and Inter Commercial Director Michael Gandler.
A special price list will be made available for the match which includes match ticket offer and a special offer dedicated to the Expo.
