Chelsea won the FIFA Club World Cup Final by defeating Paris Saint-Germain on Sunday, July 13, 2025, at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. Chelsea dominated PSG with a score of 3-0. Having previously won the Club World Cup in 2021; Chelsea is celebrating this victory in style.

Cole Palmer was the star of the match, scoring two goals and assisting João Pedro in a remarkable performance. This defeat is a significant blow for PSG, the reigning European and French champions, who ended the match with 10 players after a red card in the 85th minute.

Chelsea opened the scoring in the 22nd minute when PSG’s fullback Nuno Mendes lost possession to Malo Gusto. After Gusto’s first shot was blocked by Mendes, he quickly retrieved the ball and found Palmer unmarked in the center, who calmly slotted it just inside the left post beating goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.

Palmer extended the lead shortly after the 30-minute cooling break with a stunning goal. He received a precise through ball from Levi Colwill, cut inside, faked a pass to deceive a defender, and then fired into the bottom left corner.

Palmer then turned into a playmaker, sprinting down the channel to find Joao Pedro, who skillfully took the ball in stride, evaded the offside trap, and delicately chipped it over goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.

PSG’s woes were compounded when João Neves received a red card for pulling Marc Cucurella’s hair in the 83rd minute, as frustration mounted among PSG’s players as the match wore on.
