MILANELLO – Clarence Seedorf spoke exclusively to the Milan Channel ahead of Milan-Bologna tomorrow evening at the San Siro:
“I watched Napoli’s games leading up to the match against us and the results didn’t reflect their good form. They played well against us and deserved the win and last night against Roma they underlined how well they’re doing. Dialogue with the players is very important and I have a certain ease in understanding how they feel. Taarabt has only just arrived and the first few days he couldn’t really express himself in the way that he did during the match. I already knew El Shaarawy and what I said to him was said to keep him in a positive mentality. You need time to train and what interests me is the club philosophy, our President’s philosophy, to win convincingly but always with respect for the adversary. These are words that we know off by heart, but some have yet to learn them. Whenever teams come to play us, they play the game of their lives as they know who we are. The dinner at Arcore went very well as there’s a good relationship between us and a lot of desire to bring the club back to where it once was. That’s what we work on every day. The match against Napoli was a particular one as wed three players out of 11 who were not used to playing. Abate is getting back to full fitness and it was the first match for both Essien and Taarabt. That’s part of the reason why Napoli imposed their game on us. I’m working on every aspect of the team, physical, mental, tactical and technical. If the team is in this kind of shape now, it means that it has been for a while. I’m not worried as the team as regardless of the formation, if the players are not well physically and mentally, it’ll all come falling down”.

MILAN – After clashing with Cristiano Ronaldo in the semi-final of the Coppa del Re, Javier Manquillo will be out of action for between 4-6 weeks according to Atletico Madrid’s official club website.

MILAN – At the age of 79, Luigi Balzarini, Milan’s goalkeeper from 1963-66 has passed away. Sincere condolences to his family from everyone at the club.

MILANELLO – Clarence Seedorf will speak to the Milan Channel at noon today ahead of Milan-Bologna’s pre-match press conference at 12.30. Training for the team is scheduled for 15.00.Bologna will be training behind closed doors today while Davide Ballardini will speak to the press at 13.00.

MILAN – Atletico Madrid, Milan’s next adversary in the Champions League get back to work in La Liga on Saturday against Valladolid after two losses to Real Madrid in the Spanish Coppa del Re.
Speaking to the club website, Raul Garcia said, “The team is confident and things will improve compared to the last few matches”.
Mario Suarez also spoke to the website saying, “We’re not demoralized after the cup matches and now we have to focus on the league as we’re on the same level as Real and Barcelona. We have to get the three points against Valladolid working together, the fans and the players”.
