Sevilla win the 2020 UEFA Europa League Final

The scenario is set. Sadly, Inter failed in the big date losing the 2019-2020 UEFA Europa League Final against Sevilla on Friday 21 August 2020 at the Stadion Köln in Cologne, Germany. Sevilla and Inter are playing for the first time in European competition. I will say that despite the defeat, Inter battled and was the only Serie A team reaching a final in European competition this season. Sevilla winning their 6th Europa League. The good news for Inter is that they will play in the 2020-2021 UEFA Champions League after ending in the 2nd position in the Serie A with 82 points just -1 point below Juventus with 83 points.
- This is the sixth time in eleven seasons of the Europa League in its current format that the two finalists have never previously faced one another in European competitions.
It is Inter to open the score in the 5th minute. Referee Danny Makkelie granting a penalty to Inter. Surely, not missing the appointment, it is forward Romelu Lukaku to convert the penalty defeating Sevilla goalkeeper Bounou with a left footed shot in the bottom left corner. The penalty is conceded by Diego Carlos also getting a yellow card for bringing down Lukaku inside the penalty area.
Sevilla equalizing for the 1-1 in the 12th minute. It is Luuk de Jong to defeat Inter goalkeeper Samir Handanovic with a headed shot in the top right corner. The assist is by Jesús Navas with a cross.
Sevilla taking the lead 2-1 in the 33rd minute. It is again Luuk de Jong to score with a headed shot in the bottom right corner. The assist is by Éver Banega.
Inter equalizing for the 2-2 in the 35th minute just 2 minutes after Sevilla’s goal. It is Diego Godín to smack a headed shot in the bottom left corner. The assist is by Marcelo Brozovic.
Wow, a heartbreaking. In the 74th minute, it is Diego Carlos to give the lead to Sevilla with a right footed overhead kick shot in the bottom right corner.
