A sunny day in Rome despite the defeat against Villarreal at the Olimpico di Stadium.  Yep, it is a sunny day because AS Roma qualified to the Europa League Round of 16 thanks to the aggregate result of 4-1.    Roma’s 16-game unbeaten home game crashed with the victory of Villarreal.   Good thing is that we continue to have a Serie A team battling in the Europa League.  Forza Roma.

Villarreal opened the score in the 15th minute.  Forward Santos Borré  defeating AS Roma goalkeeper Alisson with a right footed shot to the top right corner.  Poor defense …..

The Roman gladiators ended the match with 10 players.  Referee Felix Zwayer giving a second yellow card to Roma defender Antonio Rüdiger after a foul on Villarreal forward Jonathan dos Santos.  It is the automatic red card for Rüdiger.
