👉🏆  The UEFA Conference League championship phase features an exciting victory for Fiorentina beating St. Gallen on Thursday, October 24, 2024 at the Arena St. Gallen in Switzerland.  In the closing moments of the match, Gosens netted his fourth goal, tapping it into an open net after Kouamé struck the post. The atmosphere at Kybunpark was filled with purple celebration. Fiorentina celebrated their fourth victory in as many matches across the league and cup, marking their sixth straight positive outcome and climbing to sixth place in the Conference League standings. Meanwhile, San Gallo’s struggle continues, as they remain winless for five games across all competitions, still searching for their first points.

Fiorentina had an impressive second half, turning the game around with two quick goals from Martinez Quarta and Ikoné between the 50th and 54th minutes. San Gallo fought back, nearly scoring with Mambimbi before their captain Gortler found the net with a fantastic header. However, Palladino’s squad wasn’t going to let that deter them, as Ikoné struck again to secure the lead.

In the upcoming round of the Conference League, Viola is set for another away match, this time facing Apoel in Nicosia. Meanwhile, St. Gallen will also be on the road, taking on Larne in Belfast.

Surely, Fiorentina recovered from a disappointing 0-6 defeat in Lecce. The Viola hopes to maintain their momentum and continue their winning streak against The New Saints, despite missing key players Gudmundsson and Kean.

Good news, Fiorentina celebrates its 98th anniversary by securing qualification!  Fiorentina continue their journey in the new Conference League winning on penalties against Puskas Akademia on Thursday 29 August 2024.

Fiorentina battled with nine players against eleven. First, the Viola initially took the lead with a goal from Kean, but Nagy equalized with a penalty.   Moreover, the Viola held strong with just nine players (due to red cards for Ranieri and Comuzzo). In the end, they owe their victory to their goalkeeper.  Having reached the finals in the last two editions, they faced heartbreak at the most crucial moments under the leadership of Vincenzo Italiano. The Viola was propelled by a goal from Kean and some incredible saves from De Gea.

Following a tense 3-3 draw at the Franchi, Raffaele Palladino’s squad managed a 1-1 draw in Hungary against Puskas Akademia in the return leg of the preliminary round.

In sum, the Viola converted all their penalties, and De Gea once again proved to be a game-changer, mesmerizing Szolnoki on the fourth penalty and securing their qualification.
